Buddy ListTap the Buddy List icon on the AOL main screen to display the Buddy List screen, which allows you to keep track of your active instant message (IM) sessions and online buddies. If you are offline when you tap the Buddy List icon, the Sign On screen displays. Setup TabThe Setup tab allows you to add, delete or rename buddies and/or
groups. Tap the Online tab to see which buddies are
online.
Adding a Buddy to your ListYou can add buddies (friends, family members, and coworkers who are AOL, CS2000, or other registered AOL Instant Messenger (SM) users) to your Buddy List. Whenever your buddies sign on, you can see them in your Buddy List and send them messages instantly. Note: You can block other users from seeing you on their Buddy List by changing your privacy preferences.
Remember to enter just your buddy’s screen name, not your buddy’s full e-mail address. For example, johndoe, rather than johndoe@aol.com. Adding a Group to your List

The Online tabThe Online tab lists your buddies who you have added to your Buddy List
who are currently online. Once they are signed on, you can exchange Instant
Messages with them. Initially, three empty groups appear on these tabs: Buddies, Family, and
Co-Workers. Groups in the Buddy List window are initially shown expanded,
displaying all your buddies in each group. You can toggle the display mode
between expanded and collapsed by tapping the down arrow
